Elmos talking cell phone |
|
Not a good toy because you cannot hear it. Grandbaby did not like it cause you cannot hear it and it does nothing but talk very quitely and no bells and whistles for her to be interested in it...it does not even have flasing lites etc...BORING |

Low Volume, Okay With Me! |
I know many people complain about the volume being too low, but to be honest with you, it is the perfect level for me. My daughter can hear it just fine and it doesn't annoy me too much! LOL.
My daughter got this when she turned 1, she is currently 2.5 and still picks it up occasionally. She likes singing to Elmo, pretends to talk to Grandpop on it. Oh, and my daughter is VERY rough on toys. This thing has stood up to lots of throwing, stomping, chewing, and dropping. Great little toy. |

DON'T REMOVE THE DEMO TAB |
This is a great toy, especially if you do not remove the demo tab inside.
I had to take out 4 more screws inside, to remove the internal section (top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right), and also had to unplug the eyes, which are fixed into the casing.
Now you have to make sure you cut the right white wire, since there are 2 different ones plugged into a small plastic box with a metal piece sticking out, and another one pushed in. I cut the outermost white cable, and then it worked just fine with the high volume.
Fischer Price should definitively thought more on the design for the volume control. I purchased an octopus from Baby Einstein, which includes one and even a language lever, for Spanish, English and French. Another desirable improvement for Fischer Price. |

We love Elmo |
Elmo's cell phone is perfect for the 3 to 4 age group. I was surprised the clarity was as good as it is, most eletronic toys do not have great
audio. It's fun as well as educational and it's a kick watching my granddaughter talk on the phone like a grownup. John Camilleri |

Happy Camper Nephew |
I got this toy for my nephew on a whim. I thought it was cute and I had fun playing with it at the store. Little did I know that this Elmo phone would become his favorite toy to date. I got it for him Dec 08' for his first birthday and I tell ya, he has tossed it, stomped it, chewed it, jumped on it, sat on it, banged other toys on it and I am convinced that it is Indestructable!!! I wish it was around when my kids were younger b/c they'd have one as well, this toy is tried and true and tested by a rockem'up sock'em up tank of a boy. I call him Jack Jack (like from the Incredibles). The sound level is perfect enough not to drive a parent crazy so not being able to hear it from across the room is nice and I think it has the perfect pitch.
His Elmo phone has gotten so much love if it ever does break or die it will have been well enjoyed. |
